        Jonathan Hitchcock was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and grew up there, attending St George's College.  He went to <a href="http://www.ru.ac.za/">Rhodes University</a>, in Grahamstown, studying Philosophy and Computer Science, and graduated with a Masters in Computer Science.
After working for <a href="http://www.adept.co.za/">Adept Internet</a> in <a
href="http://vhata.net/blog/2005/03/18/howto-visit-jonathan">Stellenbosch for two years, he moved to Cape Town, to work for <a href="http://www.openvoice.co.za/">OpenVoice</a>. In May 2008, he moved to Synthasite (a <a href="http://www.yola.com/">free website builder</a> as a Systems and Services Engineer.  The company has now rebranded itself as <a href="http://www.yola.com/">Yola</a>, and Jonathan has been promoted to Operations Team Leader.
